Lexus SC for Pebble, production will be limited 360 units, with the vehicle's official unveiling set for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Lexus Fashion Preview this Friday. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the automaker says sales will begin in late August.
The exterior/interior color combination will be exclusive to the Pebble Beach edition SC. Sprayed in a color called Smoky Granite Mica, the car also features special-edition brushed chrome badging on the front fenders, white illuminated scuff plates, a rear spoiler, and 18-inch six-spoke chrome wheels. Inside is a two-tone leather interior with bird's-eye maple wood trim accents and, you guessed it, more badges on the console and floormats.
The rear-drive
Lexus SC 430 is powered by a 288-horse, DOHC, 4.3-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed transmission that moves the car from 0-to-60 in 5.8 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 149 mph, according to Lexus. Sure would be nice to see them do some mechanical dressup as well to the car at a future Pebble weekend.
